Local author Lois Hutchinson  (L.E. Hutchinson) will be at the library to read excerpts from her latest book Where the Stepping Stones Lead, the journey of Gracie Pollock, an ambitious young woman working and living in Washington D. C. during World War I.  Filled with twists and turns, mystery and romance, this historical novel will entertain from start to finish.  Lois has also written Footprints in the Dust: A powerful and heartfelt Civil War story, which follows how an Ohio family struggled through hard times, love and despair, during the Civil War.

Biography of Lois Hutchinson

Lois was born and raised in Hocking County, Ohio. She grew up on a farm in southeastern Ohio, which is located in the foothills. of the Appalachian Mountains. She enjoys working in her yard, reading, writing, drawing, painting, hiking, and going for rides on old country roads. However, most of her enjoyment comes from spending time with her family and friends. Her interest in writing goes back to some intriguing stories her grandmother told. Lois fondly remembers her grandmother's stories, which aroused her interest in American and Ohio history.
